Large state park, nice grounds, clean showers, RV hookups. This is one of the Oregon trail historical sites. A fording & later ferry for crossing the Snake River. A small but very well curated indigenous people and Oregon trail museum, free admission, is adjacent to the park. Worth the stop
I rented a cabin and it was nice to have air conditioning. The restroom and showers were well maintained. I had no idea that they rented the outdoor area of the cabins for large activities. A large wedding group arrived during our second day of camping. I will make sure to check on those details before renting a cabin again.
Beautiful campground right along the river. Lots of mature trees and GNATS! Lots and lots of gnats. Other than the bugs, this place is very green, quiet, and spacious for a campground. The winery next door is gorgeous and they have tasting 7D a week. Great place to camp off the highway far enough not to hear the highway. $35 per night out-of-state w/ Water & 30 amp. Sewer dump station available.
Very nice park, excellent area for the kids to ride bikes and play. Very clean bathrooms and showers. Lots of shade and grassy areas. Park staff were friendly. Only negative we experienced was a lot of flies in the afternoon
My family and I had a good time here. The visitor's center is very cool too. I just wish the gnats weren't so bad. It becomes difficult to relax and to breathe out there at times when they're trying to fly up your nose and in your eyes.
